Questions

How does University of Bristol calculate degree classification?
Bristol weights each year of study, but publishes the actual percentages per programme type in a separate annexe rather than as one university-wide ratio. A final programme mark within two marks of a higher boundary is reviewed, and the higher class is awarded if 50% or more of unit marks — weighted by credit point and year of study — fall in the higher classification.
What do I need for a 2:1 at University of Bristol?
A weighted average of 60 or above. If you land just short, University of Bristol's borderline rule may still apply: A final programme mark within two marks of a higher boundary is reviewed, and the higher class is awarded if 50% or more of unit marks — weighted by credit point and year of study — fall in the higher classification.
